In 2010, the Louis T. Shelton Love Outreach Ministry started an annual distribution of bookbags and school supplies which includes all materials needed to ensure a good start for the school year. This is a community event open to all children in the St. Louis area. Our only criteria is that children must be present to receive a book-bags. To ensure that all children receive the appropriate book-bags for their grade level a parent must register their child’s name and grade with the LTS organization.
LTS uses local school districts supply list to purchase supplies according to age and grade.
The date of distribution is normally the last Sunday in July.
